The roots of the parent of our luxury vacation club date as far back as 1970 when our founder William (Bill) Heinecke started, what is now, one of Thailand's largest hospitality and food services operators – Minor Holdings (now Minor International).

You might well ask why it's called 'Minor'. Simply put, Bill was under 18 years of age when he first began building his collection of diversified and complementary businesses.

Minor's first hospitality business, Anantara Hotels & Resorts, was launched in 2001 with story-collecting travellers in mind, and ever since we have remained true to our brand pillars of indigenous discovery and grounded expertise.
